I attempted to use a coupon from Walgreens coupon booklet and a matching coupon from the Diabetes magazine I found in the pharmacy area. The cashier said I could use either or, but I could not match the coupons because both the coupons were mfr coupons.
I called corporate and it was confirmed by Felicia. She said the coupon in the Walgreens noted that it was a “vendor” coupon and that basically means it is a mfr coupon. I asked Felicia if it was true for all the coupons in the Walgreens coupon and she said yes. I asked when did Walgreens change this. Felicia said beginning October 1, 2012.
I told Felicia Walgreen is the vendor, because I was not buying the item from the mfr, I was attempting to buy the item from Walgreens.
She apologized if I misunderstood, but would not back down. When I got home, I watched a number of couponers stacking mfr coupons with coupons found in Walgreens little booklet.
Did corporate lie to me?
