If you just so happen to get in on any of these iPad mini deals that have been popping up then I would high recommend you put that baby in an Otterbox Defender Case. You really want to protect you investment especially if you made/making the purchase for a child.
They are currently on sale for $39.99 on BestBuy.com. This is the cheapest I have seen for this model. These are normally around $65. I recommend Otterbox because they offer a one-year warranty. Anytime you have a problem with it you just fill out the warrant form online and they will send you out a replacement.
