I attempted Scenario 1 just now, and the $5 off $30 Gain did not come off, even though I’d accidentally bought the larger container of Fireworks at $9….
I also did the deal twice, and got the exact items, and the $5 didnt come off.??
Did you ask the clerk why it didn’t come off? I had a line behind me, and decided to review once I got home.
The$5 of$30 won’t happen because of the coupon policy DG has

The $5 off of $30 is a DG store coupon, the others appear to be mfg. coupons.
Ahh, I see where it wouldn’t work – *after all other DG discounts*

The $5 didn’t come off my purchases either. The cashier attempted to manually remove the $5 but it did not work. She did manage to take $2 off the purchase.
