Greg, I tried the second transaction today, and it will not take off the $7.00 if you use coupons. I stood in line for an hour with the store manager and the cashier and every time they scanned my coupons it would take off the $7.00, so my total came to $12 and some change.
I ran into the same issue this morning at our local kMart and was quickly reminded why I don’t coupon there…
The $7.00 came off once the cashier hit total, but he was unable to key in my coupons and the manager told me that they need to enter in the coupons first, which of course will drop the total below they $30 threshold to get their instant discount. After a bit of debating, the manager manually pushed through my coupons along with the $7.00 discount and he mumbled some foolishness to the effect that you can’t take advantage of the instant savings when using coupons…
